Introduction

The InterWrite PRS electronic data collection process is divided into four sections. Each section addresses a different aspect of the PRS audience response system from setup to assessment and evaluation of recorded response data.

  • Classes:
The section that gives a name to the group of participants that is meeting for a specific purpose. This is the setup phase of the PRS system.  In the vernacular of this section of PRS, Classes are profiled and, typically, associated with a Roster of students.

  • Lessons
The section where Questions are defined or imported. Questions are organized and stored in Lessons.

  • Sessions
The section where Questions in a Lesson are presented to the students in a Class for their Responses.

  • Gradebooks
The section is where the results of a Session, which have been scored, or marked, for each student in the Class, are recorded and totaled in a Class Gradebook.

News:
  1. The next update for PRS is now officially available.  To access: click on the help radio button and then click check for updates.
  2. This latest version includes compatibility with Intel Macs and support for Virtual PRS.  It is an application that allows computers to become PRS clickers.  So, instead of using a clicker a student uses their computer.  This would work well for one-to-one laptop classes or computer lab instruction and/or distant learning situations.  Instead of the students purchasing a clicker they buy a single user software license. The details on pricing structure are not yet available.
