Requirements (15 - 17 Credits)

The Mathematics Specialty Area is intended for students who seek licensure in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Students in this Specialty Area must also complete the courses listed under "Core Requirements" , "Requirements", and "Related Requirements" for the B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. Students must take one course from a choice of MATH 229 or 261, and one course from a choice of MATH 236 or 335. Students who have a strong background in algebra may pursue exemption from MATH 127 by departmental exam. Please check with the Chairperson of the Mathematics department for details.
