Reason: I would like to nominate NG Resident Assistant David Bamisile for Program of the Month for Diversity. David put on a great program called "Talking Drum" about how the slaves used to use drums to communicate so their master wouldn't know what they were saying. He also talked about Africa, and showed people The Africa the Media Never Shows You. This was eye opening for people to see that Africa is not just starving people in the desert like the media portrays.

Reason: Very friendly with all the girls. Doesn't approach us like she works with us, but instead like friends she hangs out, talks opens up with us. RA's in the past for me have come across like parents, while Amanda is friendly while letting you know what the rules are, she's empathetic. One of the girls was out in fargo and the battery died in her car. I went to Amanda's room and asked if she had jumper cables, she drove me to our friend and jump started her car. It was a friday night too. She's great, between her and the girls here on the floor I've had the best dorm experience I could ask for.

Reason: I feel as if 6th floor Nelson deserves the community of the month award. I, Wendy Toops, as the 6th Nelson RA, and being a first year RA, has had struggles whether it be with different residents, school, or in my person life, and these girls are always there to pick me up when I'm down. These girls are very welcoming to new Residents who have moved on to my floor, and also to residents that do not live on our floor or even in Nelson. They did an awesome job getting each other on the floor excited about Bras on Broadway. They also were a tremendous help in decorating our floor for Halloween by making numerous trips to Wal-Mart and the dollar store for decorations. These girls are very deserving of this award due to there welcoming arms and creative minds.

He not only does an amazing job cleaning Nelson, but he is very personable. No matter what he is doing, he always has time to stop and talk to Residents and Resident Assistants and find out what is going on in their lives. He also sees when things need to be fixed or changed and take that responsible upon himself without anyone even needing to tell him. Reason: The educational program these girls put on was called Girls Night. This was a fantastic program which had an outstanding turn out of women. It was not only a blast with karoake, party girls, food, and Carol Grimm answering tough girl questions (mostly sex ones), it was a time that brought a variety of girls together to hang out and meet each other from differnet complexes. That typically never happens. It was such an educational bonding experience.

Reason: Girls Night - Social Program and Educational. Girls night was a huge success and was a great time for all who attended. All the female RA's worked together to make it happen. It was great to see so many girls turn out to eat, mingle, and hear what Carol Grimm had to say. Also, they incorporated the Bras on Broadway program into this night which was so special to everyone. It was a very successful program and deserves recognition.

Reason: Bethany Hill put in countless hours getting prepared for the "Girls Night" program held in Dahl Main Lounge earlier this month. The program was such a success and there were over 150 girls that showed up. She made sure to have the night planned so no one got bored and had a variety of activities set up for everyone. It really encompassed all different types of girls and was a program that everyone could take part in...excluding boys. Bethany's hard work and commitment to this program should be recognized.

Reason: Cash found out about the Bras on Broadway program, and single-handedly made it her project for the month of October. She organized selling buttons with STLF for breast cancer awareness, and raised over $900 for that. She also had all the female RA's promote their girls to give old bras for the cause, and for all of the dorms, they collected 320 bras, which are now hanging on the HoDo on Broadway. She took the time to do all of this for a cause she believes in.

Reason: The girls night program could fall under either social or educational. There was a turnout of over 175 girls, all of them crammed into the Dahl Lounge to listen to Carol Grimm talk about sex, or to hear the winners of the Bras on Broadway contest. This program was a huge success, and couldn't have been possible without the RA girls who put it on. (Beth Hill, Caroline Baumann, Josie Stromseth, Katie Winters, *there may be more who I don't know.) This was the biggest program I have seen, and was quite popular.

Reason: Beth is the one of the hardest working RA's in Snarr. She is always busy with organizing fun events for her girls. She has put on a Snarr-wide program, and tackled a resident hall wide program by being a co-founder of the girls night program. She takes the little "extra" that some RA's don't take the time to do, and that's why she deserves this award.

Reason: The Bras on Broadway program that Cash initiated here on campus can be classified as community service, educational, social and diversity as breast cancer affects every 'kind' of person. The work that she did developing and implementing the bra donations and button sales was extraordinary. This was something that anyone on campus could have done and yet, Cash was the one to undertake such a difficult and meaningful task. Her relentless recruiting and supportive nature made this program an incredible success. Her enthusiasm is infectious, her passion is unyielding, her willingness is unremitting and her work is assiduous. Cash deserves to be recognized for this and I think we all know it!!!

Reason: Though there are many reasons Bethany deserves to be recognized as RA of the month, I will only list a few. First, she has been a programming machine, using every available resource to ensure her programs are a success. Second, she has created great communities not only on 3SS but has contributed largely to the overall success of Snarr complex as a whole. Most residents of Snarr know who she is and always stop to say hi when they see her. Finally, Bethany has played a pivotal role on Snarr staff this year. Whether its desk, duty, rounds or staff interaction, Bethany can always be counted on to be there with a smile and a helping hand. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with and is more than deserving of this honor.

With Heather being directly in contact with the residential life students and staff, I feel that she has made an enormous step in the right direction for the housing department.

Reason: On Saturday, September 12, 2009, one of RA Abbi Paulseth's residents, named Nicole Olstad-Werre, passed away in a car accident. Once Abbi learned of this information, she acted quickly to make sure to be there to comfort and act as a resource for her residents.
On Sunday, Sept 13th, Abbi had a floor meeting informing her residents of the tragedy. Nicole had a large impact on the floor in the short time she lived there. Many of the residents wanted to find a way to recognize the memory of Nicole. Abby set out to do just that...
On Sept 15th, Abbi hosted a Candlelight Vigil with the residents of first North Dahl in memory of Nicole. More than 100 friends, family, and professors of Nicole's attended the memorial. Many of them spoke about Nicole, and everyone had time to reflect on their wonderful memories with her in a moment of silence.
Had it not been for Abbi, I am not sure that someone would have been able to think so quickly on their feet while at the same time remaining so compassionate and caring. A death is one of the hardest situations anyone has to deal with, and Abbi handled it like a pro. She provided her residents with access to counseling on MSUM's campus. She put together paper hearts with memories of Nicole on them and sent them to the Olstad-Werre family. She did it all, and all the while was there for her residents in their time of need.
I greatly appreciate all of the effort and time that Abbi has put into her position as an RA so far, and I believe that this example is just one of the many ways Abbi has so positively impacted Dahl Hall.

Reason: I believe that RHA’s Penny Wars should receive community service program of the month. The event started in February, with the competition ending due to the flood, but RHA came together and got the awards done this month for the winning hall and floors. A one month event that transformed into a three month event you could say. It raised over $150 for the Make-A-Wish foundation and brought back an event that was as well known as the Halloween bash and casino night. It should be named the community service program of the month.

This is a brand new position on the MSUM RHA e-board and she has been doing a great time fixing all the kinks in the position and has stepped up as the Publicity committee chair person. She has made good promotional flyers and has tons of ideas that are yet to be unleashed. This month she had a week and a half to plan out the casino night event, and the outcome was 97 residents, the second largest casino night is 2 years. She has the skills and talent this campus needs and deserves the honor of e-board of the month.

Reason: This is one of the easiest and hardest nominations to write. RHA has done so much for the campus community this year, and it amazes me still that the end is near. They have proven time and again that they can challenge the norm and make the impossible to come true. I have personally seen this organization grow and have received many compliments from people around campus that have too seen it grow, if not in participants, in effectiveness and leadership. They have finished off the Make-A-Wish penny wars, planned and facilitated the second largest casino night in two years, gone through the paperwork for the ordering of over 120 final exam kits for their residents, and revamped the end of the year housing banquet awards presented by RHA. They are truly a unique organization and a spotlight gleams on them. These are the reasons I feel that RHA should receive spotlight of the month.

Reason: I feel that Andrea deserves the Executive Board Member of the month because she shows great moral fiber. Actually, I don't really know what that means. I like her, she is always optimistic and serene and chill whenever I complain and yell about things that need to be complained about... and its nice to have someone on the board who can be our silent voice of ambiguity, in a good way. She is always on top of things and she never fails to email out our minutes, which would probably suck to type out. Anyway, I would love to see her get some recognition for being the organized and sweet person she is. She deserves it. The end.

Reason: Steve should receive spotlight of the month for so many reasons. This week alone he has dealt with so many issues that without him, life for the residents would be a lot worse. There was a water problem in Snarr South and Steve was there to make sure it was taken care of in a timely and professional manner. He helped RHA with the Halloween Bash by ordering the new signs that were placed outside each event and getting the tables and chairs ordered for the event. He insured that the new signs had stands and that the parking lot signs were posted the day of the event. He even went above and beyond by actually attending the event to insure all was well. He deserves this honor more than any one this month for just what he has done this one week.

She has been appointed as historian of RHA by the president. She worked very hard on the Dahl Box maze and with set up and cleanup for the Halloween Bash. Reason: I believe that RHA should receive Community Service program of the month for its annual Halloween Bash. They have been throwing the bash for ten years now and it has gotten bigger and better every year. This event has provided a safe place for children to trick or treat and has definitely become a part of the community. It brings so many different University departments together with community businesses and non-profits. It is what I would call community service at its finest.

She always attends any events that we put on, and she always encourages other people to come to. She is so much fun to be around and will always make you laugh! If you ever see her in Kise, she will always invite people to sit with her, even if she doesnt know them very well. She is an overall sweet girl and I really think she deserves the student of the month award!

Her residents love her and know that she is always there for them if they ever need her. She is a hard worker and always willing to help other people out. Whenever I see Julie, she will always stop and say hi and put a smile on your face, even if you're having a bad day. She comes to almost every hall council meeting and program that hall council puts on and she always brings her residents. These are just a couple reason why I feel Julie deserves to be RA of the month for September!

Reason: I believe “Paint a Bowl for Dorothy Day” should receive the honor of community service program of the month. It brought two great organizations together (MSUM RHA and FMDDHH) for a common cause, the cause of raising money for the mission of serving the homeless and hungry. The volunteers that helped out, by painting the bowls, really got the sense of giving back to the community and Dorothy Day made over $2500.00 from the sales at their annual soup supper. This event was so great for both our campus and the people served at the Dorothy Day House and Food Pantry. It deserves the honor of community service program of the month for September.

Reason: Aaron should be spotlight of the month for April because he has done so many great things for Kise. He organized the name that platform contest, made wanted buttons for the missing Kise dishes and utensils, AND most importantly had the smoothie machines out at the study breakfast. He worked really hard to serve each and every student his or her smoothie they way he or she wanted it. He has also been a great guy to work on kise committee with this year. He really takes our input seriously and tries to please us all, even if it means bringing us 10 boxes of stuffing or a whole fruit pizza to the housing banquet. I know that Aaron really tries hard to improve Kise everyday. I really enjoyed working with him this whole year and think he defintley deserves April's Spotlight OTM.

Reason: Month after month Liz is nominated month after month and still has not won anything. But this month she has went through a lot. When telling her A.D. all the stuff she went through she compared herself to Dr. Phil. When her girls were fighting, she arranged a meeting and had ice cream for comfort food. I was out of town for a weekend and when one of my residents broke up with his girlfriend, he called Liz for comfort and help. She arranged a meeting with a counselor with him and even went with him to make sure he was ok. All of these things, required extra work and resonsibilty, and I believe now more then ever she deserves to be nominated R.A. of the month

Reason: This month James has done an amazing job at Hall Council. James is our president for NGH hall council and earlier on this month we were have trouble with the study buck aution. This got a little crazy, but James then thought of a great plan to have an end of the year party and study buck aution at the same time so we can get as many people there as possible. The end of the year party ended up being a success and I know a lot of people had fun there. Overall, I think that James has done an amazing job as president all year. He has been there for all of the residents in NGH and makes sure that their needs and wants are met. He also attends RHA every week and makes sure that our complex is up to date with what is going on with RHA too! I feel that James is really deserving of this award and I hope that you will consider hi, for Aprils Exec board member of the month!

Reason: I Believe that Kody Krautkremer should be Resident Assistant of the month because he has Volunteered his time and efforts for many programs like the RA Auction and the Dating game and even Dragons after dark. Kody, this month has also has had many programs like a volleyball game to get kids outside again. Kody is the person that will drop everything he is doing and will help you in a heartbeat. I have never seen him not try his very best on any given task. He also has the best community that I have seen ever, and I have been here for three years. His residents look up to him as a role model and a best friend and as a fellow staff member I do the same. He also gets all his work done in a timely manner and always reminds other staff members of programs that are going around campus so we can get residents involved. Kody also has lots of time commitments around campus like working the intramural desk to help kids keep playing sports and he is also co-caption of the MSUM rugby team. Even with his prior commitments he still finds time to watch movies and build puzzles with his residents. He is the perfect RA and I believe that he should be RA of the month.

Reason: Thirsty Thursday was an amazing program that provided an alternative to drinking on a Thursday night. Held in the CMU ballroom, the night was a hit. So many people were there that the program had to shut down early because they ran out everything. The master mind behind it, Jeff Corrow, had this program fully organized and budgeted down to the last dime. He did a great job and this should definitely be recognized as the Program of the Month for March

Reason: I feel that Kody should be RA of the month because how ridiculously amazing he has built his floor. He has made a floor that is always fun to hangout on and where everyone feels welcome. Kody does a lot on campus and I believe he needs to be recognized for that. Kody works for the intramural office which pretty much takes up every night of the week. If he isn’t working the office he is playing on an intramural team. If he isn’t in intramurals he is at rugby practice. He is now the president of the rugby team and gets even more work put his way. He also led students to many athletic events wearing face paint and carrying flags. With all these things going on, Kody has done a great job creating the best floor to live on and still trying to be a student.

She is very caring and dedicated to her position, as the secretary for NGH hall council. She understands that importance of the residence halls and the impact that hall council can have on students. She always brings new ideas to the table for either programs or things that the exec board can do to try to improve attendance. Caroline always has positive things to say and I am so excited that she is going to be an RA next year. Reason: I would like to nominate Bethany for outstanding student of the month. She has really proven that she is an extremely important asset to our halls. She is involved in her hall government as well as RHA. She attends every meeting ready for whatever it is we are going to tackle. She also helps promote our programs and brings her friends with her. Beth is a rep for Dahl Hall and is always at the RHA meeting on time with a positive attitude. Not only that, but she is extremely easy to work with and has an open mind. This month Beth has helped so much with promoting out programs, going to them to represent her hall, and being an “active” member of RHA. Every organization has those people that come to the meetings, sit at the meetings, and leave the meetings not contributing to the organization. For us Beth is the opposite of that and is truly an outstanding student to work with. Even though she isn’t on an executive board now, my hopes for her are to become an executive board member in the future and I believe she will succeed easily. Bethany fits the criteria to a T and truly deserves this award.

Reason: I believe that RHA's spring 2008 Casino night should recieve program of the month as a social and community service program. The goal of the event was to give our residents a chance to give back to the community while having fun and winning prizes on a normally drab saturday night. The program brought out 51 residents and 2 huge boxes of donations for the Fargo-Moorhead Dorothy Day House of Hospitality. It was truely an amazing event that will occur again in the future, with what we hope to be more residents and students attending. This is why i believe that Casino Night should get program of the month.

Reason: RHA should be recognized for the events that they have put on this year. They did a wonderful job at Casino Night and all of the incentives they had to encourage people to come and get involved. Having people bring canned food among other items encourages people to GIVE BACK while they are still having FUN!!! RHA needs to be recognized for the things that they do and will continue to do for the remainder of the year.

Reason: I think Thirsty Thursday should be program of the month for March because it brought out a lot of people who seemed to enjoy themselves. Everyone was getting involved from the root-beer pong, root-beer floats, condom poker and the movies that were being shown in the other room. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a good time. I think this event was mostly a social event but could be seen as educational to an extent because of the condoms that people were winning (Safe Sex). Overall, I think this was a nice Thursday night activity for people to get involved, relax, and wind down for the weekend.

Reason: Jordan is an amazing RA. There is never a time on rounds where I haven't seen his floor socializing. He has made a great floor community. If the Ballard Boys Gone Wild didn't prove he is a great RA, the first day being back from an appendectomy, he worked his desk shift. He was a trooper and continued being a great RA even when he was pain. So if not for just being a great RA, but maintaining his contract even after hospitalization!!

Reason: I am nominating Casey for spotlight of the month for the month of Feb. for too many reasons to mention. So I will just name a few: Casey is so selfless, he is always putting others first. I think this is why the word sleep hardly reaches his vocabulary! Snarr is lucky to have him back for another year. Most of all I would like to thank Casey for picking up the slack when I went on a week long vactaion. He did more then of asked of him, taking on the tasks of both CC's, and not once did I hear him complain. Keep up the great work Casey, I apreciate all that you do!!!

Reason: Second East Grantham has really surprised me this year. At the beginning of the year, the floor had a lot of shy guys, but now the more outgoing residents have gotten the shy guys out of their rooms and active as floor members. The guys are always hanging out with eachother and I often see them eating in Kise with one another. They are great when it comes to attending floor programs. I was really impressed last month when they got together and made their floor mascot, a huge llama. They worked really well together and the outcome was amazing. Overall, the residents of this floor really deserve recognition for how far they have come as a floor. Awesome Job Guys!!!!

Through all of this, she has maintainted a positive attitude and has still been here for her residents and the staff! I am so proud of our community and how they came together to plan and execute this amazingly beautiful tribute to a wonderful person who left us so quickly. She makes them great door decs, and has a great relationship with them. She also strains herself to make fun programs for them. Also, she is the first person to volunteer to make signs or posters for anything housing related, and she has a heckuva talent for making stuff. I just really respect her, and think she deserves a lot of recognition for being a great asset to our staff, and always being sweet, cheerful, and upbeat. Reason: I feel that Elicia Hay deserves to be RA of the month for January. I know she has had to deal with a lot recently and she has really stayed positive about it! Over Christmas break she had a surgery and I am sure that wasnt fun. But she stayed positive through the whole process. Then when she got back for the semester, she started to have issues with one of the residents on her floor. It was a very difficult time for her and a sticky situation, but again she remained positive! Elicia has been such a great asset to our NGH team this year and I am so glad shes on my staff! She has an amazing floor community build and ALWAYS has a smile on her face! She is very accepting of everyone and will always hang out with staff memebers. I think that Elicia really deserves to be NRHH's January RA of the month and that this is the least we can do to show her our appreciation for her hard work and dedication! Reason: Yvonne works in Kise at the middle station. (She is the one with the really long braid). In my three years at MSUM, she has always been such a cheerful Sodexho employee. She is always willing to help students out and ALWAYS has a smile on her face. For example, when there was no sandwich line one night, she made me a special sandwich. I thought it was so outstanding that she was so willing to go out of her way to please a resident. A lot of the Kise workers seem like they don't really enjoy their jobs but Yvonne really looks like she enjoys her work. I don't think the Kise environment would be the same with out Yvonne's chipper personality. She should definitley be NRHH'S January Spotlight OTM!

Reason: Jordan was just elected NGH treasurer in January and wow, has he really improved the NGH hall council financial process! We had some trouble last semester with returning receipts and Jordan created a receipt policy stating that if you do not return a receipt within two weeks of allocating the money, you lose you allocating privelages and need floor representatives to get money for you the rest of the semester. I thought that was an awesome idea, and so far, it has been an effective policy. Jordan also emails the RA's and keeps them up to date with how much money they have remaining in their floor accounts. Overall, he has just done an amazing job being NGH hall council treasurer and definitley exceeded my expectations! Great Job Jordan!

Reason: Lane is a great asset to his floor. While participating on the MSUM Wrestling team Lane still finds time to socialize with his neighbors and friends. A few days ago a toothpaste spill was discovered in the hallway. I had asked Lane where it came from and who was responsible for it. He had just entered the hallway and was unsure. I told him I planned to wake up everyone on the floor until someone claimed to the mess. Being about 2:00am Lane told me he would clean it. I came out of the bathroom minutes later to see a clean floor. Lane is a great guy and an even better resident. He deserves to be Student of the month.

Reason: I believe Laura Glassman should be RA of the month because of how amazing of an RA she really is. I think Laura doesn’t give herself enough credit for all she does. I believe she is a leader and people follow her because she treats everyone with respect and courtesy. I see her at every big program and is always willing to help with them. She helped with Dragons After Dark and is always at them, supporting them. She is always willing to get involved in smaller projects and even spend her time running and getting pizza’s for someone else’s program. She is very focused on her school work. Sometimes we pick on her to get her to come to programs or basketball games and not study (all in good fun) but truthfully I feel she does more than her fair share of work and supporting. Laura also brings an awesomeness to staff meetings and makes even the little things seem like they are supper fun. There is so much more I could say about Laura so I just want to say, I know she has a lot to worry about with having grad school in the future, her RA job, a boyfriend miles away, Minnesota State issues, making it to CRU and Church and dealing Kody and I picking on her when she wants to study so I feel she should definitely be RA of the month.

Reason: I believe Brianna should be student of the month because she is the kind of resident an RA hopes to have on their floor. She is a good student, is a lot of fun to have on the floor and makes the right decisions even though they are tough to make. She can definitely dish out jokes and can take them and just laugh and have fun. She sometimes makes round around the floor saying hi to everyone and keeping the floor upbeat. Studies seem to be important to her but she also (but not all the time) goes out to campus events and supports our school. I enjoy having Brianna on 3rd Grantham and think she portrays what students in the dorms should be like.

Jordan and his crew made a great social program for people to have fun and meet people from other complexes. This group of amazing RAs should be recognized for their great work. Good job guys!!

Reason: Steph is my RA this year and she has been one of the most important people involved in my freshman year. She has a few rather difficult residents on her floor and she has been able to handle everything they have put her through, on top of being ill many times. I really love and respect her and I think that she of all RA's deserves this honor. Please consider her for RA of the month for March! Thanks!

Reason: Lawrence is an amazing RA. Lawrence is someone that can say hi to everyone while he walks to class. He does a lot of programs and they’re really cool. It’s really cool to see someone putting on a lot of programs with diversity as the main purpose. I went to one of his programs in the beginning of the year and he had around 50-60 people show up. Lawrence is also always at the desk and never really complains about his work. Overall from what I have seen, Lawrence has a great relationship with his residents, staff members and works hard in school and as an RA.

Reason: Dragons After Dark has been very successful at getting residents and even non residents to participate in an on campus program. More recently they have had a huge success with holding it over in Nemzek and including athletics in the mix of the evenings activities. It seemed to draw a different crowd of people and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I think that this program is definatly deserving of the program OTM because month after month it seems to be successful and the DAD committee has put in so much time and effort in planning and carrying out the plan and every single person deserves tons of recognition for all of the hard work they have done and continue to do. You all are AMAZING and DAD pretty much Rocks!!!

Reason: Tate has done a great job as an RA this year. He works hard at getting his guys involved in activities and has success with his Octobeard and Novembeard programs. I think Tate is deserving of the RA OTM because he has made some huge strides as an RA. He has gone from being a somewhat quiet person through training last year to being this outgoing character everyone likes to have around. He always seems to have a smile on his face even when he may be stressed out about school, and is still willing to help out. He and Dane got together to help out everyone on the Res Life staff by coming up with a programming proposal that would help everyone with the 4 hardest programs. I think he is really deserving of the OTM!

She has done great work so far this semester and I hope that you will consider her for RA of the month for December!

Reason: Kim Ness deserves Spotlight of the Month for her job as Complex Coordinator. She follows through with her administrative duties by keeping the desk supplied with necessary materials, distributing mailbox stuffers and posters on time, getting copies made for us on time, and checking up with us almost daily on residents who are due for check out. She goes beyond her adminstrative duties by being a great role model to her staff. She is very approachable and I know that any member of the NGH staff (myself included) could go to her with a problem. Kim has really followed through on housing's "motto" this year: She's here because she cares!

Reason: I feel that Jeff Corrow should be RA of the month because of his commitment and service to the educational community. Jeff Corrow has been with residential housing for several years and is not only a hard-working student and RA but also a Campus Security officer.

Jeff is one of the first people to complete his regular duties as an RA be it fire checks, blue card checks, bulletin boards, door decs or no show lists or resident profiles, along with being prompt with his weeklies. He also participates in multiple social and recreational activities on his floor and within Ballard.

Jeff's wisdom coming from the experience of working with residents throughout the years shines when helping and giving advice to current RA's on situations that come up. He is well versed on the policies within the housing department and carries them with him.

I have seen many of the RA's in DABA ask Jeff for advice on things and look up to him for his patience and practicalness when approaching people.

For these reasons Jeff Corrow should be RA of the Month.

Reason: I don't know if this will work but i wanted to try it anyways!!!

I think that the Snarr Staff deserves to be community of the month because we have connected with one another on such a deep level it is amazing. I feel that I have connected with each and everyone on this staff in some way, even the new staff members. I believe that this staff does great things, because we are all great people and know how to work with one another. From the first day I met everyone, I knew it was going to be a great year, with a talented group of young men and women.

When we did the Ropes Course at fall training, they told us that we worked together very well, and we sure do. We have continued to work well with one another despite some of our differences.

We may have lost some staff members, but we have gained some good ones, and we have all learned that not everyone is perfect, actually no one is perfect.

I believe that everyone on this staff is doing an exceptional job with either RAing or CCing, and ADing. The 14 individual personalities of our staff members have created a unique staff that has done great things, and will continue to do things. Everyone, Keep up the great job, you are all doing amazing!!!!

Reason: I think that Ryan deserves to be RA of the month because there is not a single bad thing about this kid, or at least that i know of! He does an AMAZING job at being an RA. He connects on a level with his residents that I don't see other RA's do. Not only does he do an amazing job with his floor, but he is amazing with our staff.

He is more than willing to drop ANYTHING to help anyone out. He has dropped everything to come and help me with just a few minutes notice, and to me that means the world!

Reason: Throughout my experience of working with Ryan Meyer this school year, he has not once disappointed me on how he performs his duties as an RA. In fact, he has many times caused me to smile and realize how great of, not only an RA, but also a person he truly is. Too many situations exist to include in a humble nomination from, but to choose a few:

- Ryan Meyer will be more than willing to drop what he is doing in order to help a fellow staff member. Many times he has sacrificed significant amounts of his day and schedule to assist for the sake of assisting. Whether this is by giving a friend a spot in the local weight room, going on rounds with another RA, or assisting in a situation when another RA is on duty. He always helps with a smile and to the fullest extent.

- He will be one of the first individuals to volunteer when a duty shift is needed to be filled, or just a simple favor is asked of a group of people. More than once in the very recent past, Ryan Meyer has volunteered for duty shifts to be filled, regardless of the reason.

- His work ethic is sincere and true to the extent that he completes his required tasks not only on a satisfactory level, but many times beyond and to the point of significant excellence. His professionalism and ability to be of true character in situation confrontations is worthy of acknowledgement and his dedication to writing reports in a timely manner is above that of some of his peers. Also, his work ethic at the desk is productive and focused. When assisting residents, he gives them a great deal of attention and provides a significant amount of effort in order to provide a solution to their problem. Ryan Meyer is a hard worker.

- Not only on his floor, but wherever he makes his presents, he creates an atmosphere that is inviting and interactive with himself and those around him. If he doesn’t greet you with a smile, probably he didn’t see you. He also says things like, “You’re the only star in my sky,” or, “I just got lost in your eyes” that just make a person feel good. Beyond the effort of programming, he makes extra initiatives to interact with residents. One way he does this is by playing video games with the people on his floor. He was even involved in a safe and healthy prank feud between a select number of his floor companions.

Above all, Ryan Meyer helps make living on campus an enjoyable and healthy experience. Along with his fellow staff members, he truly cares about not only the residents on his floor, but the residents of the complex. He provides a great example of what it means to be a successful college individual with balance and discipline directly implemented into his life. I strongly feel Ryan Meyer should be selected as this month’s NRHH member of induction.
